Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Crime and Delinquency Studies

As a unit of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, we offer bachelor of science and bachelor of arts in sociology and crime and delinquency studies.  We also offer minors in both areas and anthropology. The faculty are committed teachers and scholars who work closely with students to support their academic development and career trajectories. Undergraduates have the opportunity to choose areas of concentration designed to their personal and professional interests and needs. Internship placements earn students course credit, invaluable professional skills and provide excellent networking opportunities for future employment. Our programs are based on well-defined learning goals and outcomes.

Dena Russell

Dena Russell graduated Cum Laude in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Spanish. Currently, Dena Russell serves as the director of the County Court Appointed Special Advocate of the Flint Hills program (CASA of the Flint Hills).

Jeremy Walter graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Crime & Delinquency Studies. He attended Baylor Law School and graduated Magna Cum Laude and second in his graduating class. He maintains a practice in general commercial litigation with Baker Botts L.L.P. in Houston, TX.
